Saya berpikir untuk menggantung pipe dream catcher yang saya buat minggu lalu di tas saya dan saya tersadar bahwa tas saya tidak memiliki resleting sama sekali. Sialnya, saya bukan orang yang sangat kreatif, saya adalah tipe orang yang bila disuruh menggantung aksesoris di tas, tempat yang terpikir hanya satu, pada ujung resleting.

I was thinking of attaching the pipe dream catcher I made last week on my bag when I realized that my bag has no zipper, not even one. Bad thing: I’m not a very creative person, the kind that when one is asked to attach an accessory onto something, the zipper’s slider is the ONLY place I can think of (my brain is always resting inside the box).

Setelah duduk dan berpikir untuk beberapa waktu, saya terpikir untuk menggunakan kancing untuk menggantung aksesoris tersebut; dan karena saya menganggap dream catcher adalah benda yang sangat dekat dengan alam, saya berpikir untuk menggunakan kancing yang terbuat dari kayu tapi sayangnya, saya tidak dapat menemukan satu pun kancing yang berbahan kayu atau bambu. Saya terpikir untuk menggunakan tali untuk membentuk kancing saat sedang mandi! (sepertinya kamar mandi adalah tempat munculnya ide-ide untuk saya, bagaimana dengan anda?)

Berikut di bawah adalah langkah-langkah super simpel untuk membuat kancing dari tali ini.

After sitting and thinking for some time, I thought of using a button to hold the accessory (by hooking the dream catcher on the button) and as I regard the dream catcher as a natural ornament (because of the materials used), I would like to have something wooden for the button but unfortunately, I couldn’t find any in the house. I kept thinking of how to substitute the wooden button into something else and that’s when I was having a shower, I thought of this idea of using a rope to form a button (9 out of 10, ideas come to me when I shower, is there a logic explanation for this?).

And here you go, a 3-step rope button tutorial

Ambillah seutas tali dan mulailah membentuk spiral lingkaran.

Take a string of rope and start making a spiral from it.

Seiring pembentukan spiral, oleskan lem di jalur spiral tersebut, tarik erat.

As you form the spiral, glue the path along, pull it tight.

Setelah anda puas dengan ukurannya, gunting tali sisa dan selesai! =)

When you are happy with the size, cut the rope and you are done! =)

Ukuran dapat dibuat sesuai kesukaan masing-masing.

Make various sizes if you like.

Bosan dengan warna dan bentuknya? Ambil beberapa kancing baju biasa dan buat mereka jadi berlapis-lapis.

Bored with the colors and shape? Take some ordinary plastic button and sandwich them together.

This button is made to solve the problem of my desire to attach the dream catcher on my bag. However, I made the dream catcher’s hanger too small (short) last time, thus making it hard to hook it nicely, giving me a new problem to solve.
