With Christmas just around the corner, DIY and craft sites have been flooded with nothing but all the lovely Christmas-related DIYs, gift ideas, decorations and recipes. And though we don’t celebrate Christmas here, it doesn’t mean I’m skipping the fun to make something too! So, here you go, the felt mini snowmen to welcome a happy white Christmas.
What you need:
- Felt;
- Cotton (filling);
- Needle and thread;
- Scissors;
- Marker.
Yang anda butuhkan:
- Flanel;
- Kapas (isi);
- Jarum dan benang;
- Gunting;
- Spidol.
Step 1: Draw 2 circles on a piece of white felt with diameter of 7 cm and 4 cm. Cut them out.
Gunting. Step 2: Make a running stitch at the edge of the circle, place the filling in the center and pull the tread to make a pot-like ball.
Step 3: Repeat step 2 for the other felt and you’ll get 2 cotton-filled balls (big and small).
Step 4: Join the two balls together by threads or glue and give it a pair of eyes with a marker.
Step 5: Cut a 1 cm x 20 cm long felt of your favorite color and wrap it around the little snowman’s neck.
You can also make a few of them and have them as your Christmas gift toppers.
Oh, and I tried using the free software, PicMonkey to make the collage above. It’s easy to use but the colors are a bit off (I wonder if it’s my computer or it’s the software, really).
I wish we have some snow here to make a real snowman (which is impossible unless the 21-12-12 prophecy makes changes to it) ;) Thank you for stopping by and though it’s a bit early, I wish you all a Merry Christmas! :D
Happy Christmas! :D

Your snowmen are super cute & I am excited to try making some. And – your tutorial is very easy to follow along.
Say – what did you use to make the “snow” effects? Was it some kind of white glue?
Thanks, Beth! It’s passed Christmas (SORRY!!!) By “snow”, do you mean the patterns on the scarf?
I used a white pen (or you can use a correction pen) and smeared it with my finger.

OMG, you are so strong and amazing, lemondedis!!! Don’t ever give up! I’m so happy that you found your way here :)

Greetings from Germany (we didn’t see snow yet – iam waiting!)
Nina
Delighted, Nina!! Surely, there is still a lot of time to make this before Christmas because we can make a lot in a short time! And please do send me your version of the snowmen! Would totally love to see them in the army outfit!
The weather is getting colder here too in Japan (no chance of snowing though, or at least not yet!) Take care! :)
Tnx so much.it’s a beautiful gift.we don’t have christmas in Iran but I make them for winter and I gift to my best friends :)
Thank you, Faeze :D Not everyone here in Indonesia celebrate Christmas too (including me) and above that, we don’t have winter either and that’s a very kind thought of yours, Faeze. Your friends would be touched to receive something handmade :)
We still have snow here in Chariton, Iowa, USA, yes at the end of March. I made real miniature snowmen but these I would not have to keep in the freezer!! Thank you for sharing your lovely creations. I pin many of your crafts.
It’s still snowing there at where you live?
(Envy!) How I hope we have some snow here (though ironically, the temperature is getting higher day by day as we are welcoming the dry season pretty soon, or maybe it’s here already)
Thank You for always coming back to drop me some sweet comments (really appreciate them!) and sharing all these posts, Karen! (Frankly, I stalk my Pinterest’s analytics in daily basis and I know I just must thank you.) Do come again! :D
This are wonderful, I’m sorry I found them too late for Christmas but I’ve subscribed to your blog because you obviously have wonderful ideas.
Hello, Emily. No worries, there are still lots of holidays to come in 2013! I hope you had a great Christmas holiday and I wish you Happy New Year!
