Beaded Christmas Card

DIY Tutorial: Beaded Christmas Card | @onelmon

Hello there! I know I just greeted you a start of a happy November last week and here I am sharing a Christmas craft for December. Well, surely everyone needs time to put up with the decorations and not to forget, sending Christmas greeting cards which are due before the actual day. And since this Christmas card tutorial that I’m going to share with you is going to need a little bit of time to make, I might as well post it early. Okay, let’s get the materials ready and start up your crafty engine!

Halo semuanya!

What you need | Yang anda butuhkan:

  1. Plain card (or make your own with thick paper) | Kartu polos (atau bisa dibuat sendiri dengan kertas yang agak tebal);
  2. Beads | Manik-manik;
  3. Needle & thread | Jarum & benang;
  4. Metalic origami (or you can use the foil) | Kertas origami metalik (atau aluminium foil);
  5. Scissors | Gunting;
  6. Pen, marker or pencil color | Pulpen, spidol atau pensil warna;
  7. Glue | Lem;

Step 1: Draw a triangle on your card lightly with a pencil.

Step 2: Poke a hole at the base of the triangle and string your beads.

Step 3: Pull the end of the beads to the peak of the triangle and and make a knot (just like when you are sewing).

Step 4: Continue bulding the beads structure. I would suggest to do it from both ways, right-left-right-left.

Langkah 4: Teruskan membangun struktur manik-manik.

Step 5: And you’ll get a beaded triangle like this (okay, mine looks like a corn).

Step 6: With the tip of your eraser, erase all the pencil lines.

Langkah 6: Dengan ujung penghapus, hapus semua garis pensil tadi.

Step 7: Punch a metalic star (or cut one!)

Langkah 7: Punch sebuah bintang metalik (atau gunting!)

Step 8: Paste your little star on top and write your grettings under the tree!

And we are done!

Dan selesailah kartu Natal kita!

I made two versions for this; a golden tree with a silver star and a white tree with a golden star (but of course, you can still stick to the classic green tree!) When you are done, seal it in an envelope and you are now ready to send out your sparkling beaded cards :)
