So here we are today for the final item from the drinking straw series. This time, we are using the drinking straws to make a place card holder. It’s a very simple craft and takes only a couple of minutes to make one (the card design took much longer time for me!). So, shall we get started?
Halo semuanya! Ayo dicoba!
Drinking straw series:
– Drinking straw necklace
– Drinking straw bracelet
– Drinking straw frame
Other drinking straw crafts:
– Adjustable straw bracelet
– Straw flowers
What you need | Yang anda butuhkan:
- Bendy drinking straws | Pipet minum bengkok;
- Name card | Kartu nama;
- Scissors | Gunting;
- Glue | Lem.
Step 1:
You will need 6 pieces of bendy straws for this. Take 4 out and cut the long bottom part (that supposed to go into your drink) into 2 cm long. Cut the remaining 2 straws, left and right of the bendy into 2 cm long each.
Langkah 1:
Step 2:
Join the straws in the sequence like above. Bend both ends (left and right) for both the new long straws and join their ends together with a strong glue.
Langkah 2:
Step 3:
Bend the middle bendy and you’ll get something like this.
Langkah 3:
Step 4:
Snip the slanted short bendy straw with your scissors. Repeat this for the other side.
Langkah 4:
Step 5:
Do the same for the upper part.
Langkah 5:
Lakukan hal yang sama untuk bagian atasnya.
Step 6:
Slip your name card inside the snipped holes and your place card (or name card) holder is ready! Note: This is my first time designing a name card and I was very undecided about certain things (the font size, colors, placement coordination, too many decorations, no white space and all other stuff). What do you think?
Langkah 6:
Bagaimana menurut anda?
