Clip-on Card Holder

DIY Tutorial: Clip-on Card Holder | @onelmon

I’m a fan of backpack bags and I use mine everyday! I prefer using a backpack because it can balance the weight on both my shoulders and it’s more unlikely to fall off. But, the downside of the bag is that whenever I need my wallet or my commuter pass, I’ll need to take it off before I can look for what I want, which is kind of frustrating sometimes when I’m in a rush (mine is a zipper type with a fold-over, double frustration!). And so I made this simple card holder to hold my train pass that I can just clip it on my backpack strap. Continue reading

Sanding Brush

DIY Tutorial: Sanding Brush | @onelmon

Today’s post is more like a tip rather than a craft. Do you use sandpaper a lot when you are making your artwork or craft? I recently use it a lot and I was taught how to make sanding easier so that you won’t hurt your finger… and the sandpaper. The trick is really simple, you just need to paste your sandpaper onto something flat. But as I think it’s a bit hard to hold, I add a handle to it so I can use it even easier. Here goes your sanding brush! Continue reading

Chopsticks Placecard

DIY Tutorial: Chopsticks Placecard | @onelmon

Since coming to Japan, I hardly eat anything with a spoon. Everytime I buy my meal, the cashier always inserts a pair of bamboo chopsticks into the plastic bag. Honestly, I rarely use them and just toss them into the drawer. As I’m cleaning up before the summer break, I realized that they have piled up in my drawer. So rather than leaving them collecting dust, using them as craft materials is always a good idea. Continue reading

Tennis Ball – Mike Wazowski

DIY Tutorial: Tennis Ball - Mike Wazowski | @onelmon

I posted on my instagram last week that I won a can of tennis balls (seriously) during a dancing statue game and the thing is that I don’t even play tennis. So what to do with the free balls? We make the green monster from Monster Inc., of course! Doesn’t the green ball just remind you of little Mike? Continue reading

Glow in the Dark – Constellation Tumbler

DIY Tutorial: Glow in the dark - Constellation Tumbler | @onelmon

Hi there! Finally, it’s summer here and I can definitely feel the heat these days. I sweat like crazy and carry my water bottle almost everywhere to avoid dehydration. So, early this week, my water bottle finally gave in (after a heavy usage, flipping the cap open and close for umpteenth time in a day). I saw this “create your own tumbler” tumbler during the open campus at my school the other day and decided to purchase one myself. I was thinking of designing something with a ring of summer and I don’t know why but I always relate star gazing with summer. So here goes the constellation tumbler (with a little magic!) Continue reading
