After the 2 previous series, the clothes pins’ and ice cream sticks’, I’m challenging myself to start another one this week! This time, we’ll be dealing with the drinking straws! Let’s get started with the first one! Continue readingTweet
Since coming to Japan, I hardly eat anything with a spoon. Everytime I buy my meal, the cashier always inserts a pair of bamboo chopsticks into the plastic bag. Honestly, I rarely use them and just toss them into the drawer. As I’m cleaning up before the summer break, I realized that they have piled up in my drawer. So rather than leaving them collecting dust, using them as craft materials is always a good idea. Continue readingTweet
I posted on my instagram last week that I won a can of tennis balls (seriously) during a dancing statue game and the thing is that I don’t even play tennis. So what to do with the free balls? We make the green monster from Monster Inc., of course! Doesn’t the green ball just remind you of little Mike? Continue readingTweet
Hi there! Finally, it’s summer here and I can definitely feel the heat these days. I sweat like crazy and carry my water bottle almost everywhere to avoid dehydration. So, early this week, my water bottle finally gave in (after a heavy usage, flipping the cap open and close for umpteenth time in a day). I saw this “create your own tumbler” tumbler during the open campus at my school the other day and decided to purchase one myself. I was thinking of designing something with a ring of summer and I don’t know why but I always relate star gazing with summer. So here goes the constellation tumbler (with a little magic!) It has been a while since the last time I handstitched something. So when I saw a pencil case that is attached to a notebook in a stationery shop the other time, I thought “Hey, I can make that! (And I can use it as a bookmark too!)” It’s super easy and it takes less than 15 minutes to make one. Scroll through to see the how to!
Summer is almost here everyone (yay!) and today I’m sharing a tutorial on how to make a bracelet from zippers with pop bright colors to brighten up your look! I saw a pack of colorful zippers sold in Daiso (¥100 shop, something similar to A Dollar store) the other day and I thought this is the chance to try my new sewing machine that has just arrived! Today’s craft will only need minimal sewing but if you don’t sew, you can always substitute all the sewing steps with glueing. Here goes the how to! Continue readingTweet
Judging from the title, you know I’m going to bring back two things that I love the most, photo and bookmark! I think my obsession to bookmark has increased in a ridiculous pace lately because I kept thinking of making more and more (the number of books I read can’t even catch up with them). Nevertheless, I made another one again this week with a more unique and personal touch on it! Scroll down to see how to make one for yourself too! Continue readingTweet
In today’s digital era, do you still print out your photos from holiday or special occasions? I did and still do. It’s just nice to have a nostalgic photo on your table when you are working or a good picture inside the wallet. So today, I’m bringing out the crafting with photo theme again for the last craft from the ice cream stick series, a photo charm that is so small that you can bring it anywhere. Continue readingTweet
