I have owned my current sewing machine for almost a year but except the straight stitch, I’ve yet to try the other fun stitches pre-programmed in it (unbelieveable, I know). So this week, I tried them out, not on a sheet of fabric but on a piece of paper and decided to make a book cover for my planner. I’m still exercising my “sewing with sewing machine” skill and bought a bias tape to challenge myself in sewing a straight line on a narrow surface. Okay, this is my first time cutting up my clothes so I was a bit scared when I made this. Although I was using a shorts that I have been wearing at home three times a week for a year (yeah, it’s pretty worn out), I was still nervous about it. Anyhow, I overcame that fear and did it anyway; thinking that summer is over, and this summer-looking worn out shorts is going to be either kept inside the box and never be seen again or thrown away.
