Pencil Case Bookmark

DIY Tutorial: Pencil Case Bookmark | @onelmon

It has been a while since the last time I handstitched something. So when I saw a pencil case that is attached to a notebook in a stationery shop the other time, I thought “Hey, I can make that! (And I can use it as a bookmark too!)” It’s super easy and it takes less than 15 minutes to make one. Scroll through to see the how to!

Human Bookmark

DIY Tutorial: Human Bookmark | @onelmon

Judging from the title, you know I’m going to bring back two things that I love the most, photo and bookmark! I think my obsession to bookmark has increased in a ridiculous pace lately because I kept thinking of making more and more (the number of books I read can’t even catch up with them). Nevertheless, I made another one again this week with a more unique and personal touch on it! Scroll down to see how to make one for yourself too! Continue reading

Pressed Flowers

DIY Tutorial: Pressed Flowers | @onelmon

Sakura season is over in where I’m living now actually, but because this craft took a bit of time (the waiting part!!), I can only manage to share this post this week. So, this is my very first spring in my entire whole life. I’ve been living in tropical 2-season countries for the past 25 years so I’m very excited with the transition from the cold winter to the warm spring season :) As a memento for my first spring, I collected the sakura flowers just as they are about to wither (they have a relatively short blooming season, only a week or two) and turned them into pressed flowers. They are pretty as bookmarks (oh yes, another bookmark for me!) or they are great for table display too! Continue reading

Spring Bookmark

DIY Tutorial: Spring Bookmark | @onelmon

As a proud bookworm, I’ll never get enough of bookmarks, which is one reason why I’m still not getting myself a kindle ;-) To welcome the spring (and match the atmosphere), I made this flowery bookmark this week. I so wanted to use real flowers for this but I’ve yet to learn the alchemy on how to prevent flowers from wilting so thank you plastic flower for being here to fill the gap. I bought a stick of sakura (with a few branches and flowers in different sizes) which is now on sale because the blooming session is almost over. So, are your ready to prettify your book with some flowers? Continue reading

Giant Paper Clip Bookmark

DIY Tutorial Giant Paper Clip Bookmark | @onelmon

Readers who have been around here for a while may know that I have a penchant for bookmarks (which is one of the reasons why I still prefer book-reading to tablet-reading). So here I am again, making more bookmarks today :) Trust me, this is one of the easiest bookmarks you’ll ever made, taking less than 1 minute, excluding printing time (you know how printer works when it knows you are in hurrry). Think of doing some reading this weekend? Then take out your cereal boxes or cards and welcome the giant paper clip bookmark!  Continue reading
